Thomas M. Lodahl, Chairman Ph.D. Industrial Psychologist, UC Berkeley, Professorships at MIT and Cornell 1958-1980 Diebold Group, Director of Office Automation 1980-82 Co-founded CogniTech in 1983.

Rob Foster, Alliance Associate CogniTech's Alliance Associate in Australia Rob has over 30 years of practical experience in the IT industry, where his major interest for most of his career has been in improving the value that organisations get from their investments in IT, the alignment of IT strategy with business strategy, and IT Governance. Rob has now established his own consultancy practice, focusing on IT strategic alignment and representing CogniTech in Australia. Rob is a graduate of UNSW with a first class honours degree in Computer Science.

From 1988-91 they conducted a 47-company multi-client research project to develop and validate a new set of IS effectiveness measures. In 1991 in a project sponsored by Chemical Bank, they established a strong positive relationship between their IS effectiveness measures and company profit margins -- a first. As their database has grown through their benchmarking work, this relationship has strengthened, and provides a direct measure of the value that IS brings to the business.

Their clients range in size (based on revenue) from US$500 million to over $100 Billion, and include a number of Fortune 10 companies, as well as those in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
